Tectyl 4D750 is a resin/oil based, light yellow, liquid corrosion preventive compound.
Tectyl 4D750 is formulated with a minimum of volatile organic components.
Tectyl 4D750 is designed for industrial application giving good penetration into folds, flanges and cracks, making it very suitable as a corrosion protective for the inside of car doors and other hollow sections of cars and rolling equipment.
Tectyl 4D750 cures to a light yellow, translucent, semi-soft film.
At the recommended DFT, the product provides extraordinary protection in the hollow sections against corrosion.
With a DFT of only 50 microns, Tectyl 4D750 is an efficient corrosion protection, protecting a large area with little amount of the product.
Surface Preparation
The maximum performance of Tectyl 4D750 can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. CorPro recommends a substrate temperature of 10-35 °C at the time of product application.
Application
Tectyl 4D750 is formulated to be used as supplied. CorPro recommends that the ambient and product temperature be 10-35 °C at the time of product application. Do not thin Tectyl 4D750. Tectyl 4D750 can be applied by low pressure air spray application. Details on application can be found in the application chart.
As Tectyl 4D750 is a chemical drying product, care should be taken to avoid prolonged contact of the product in the container with air (oxygen) as much as possible. During use this can be achieved by binding the plastic innerliner around the suction tube with a plastic binder. If not in use, keep the container tightly closed.
Removal
Tectyl 4D750 can be removed in the wet phase with Tectyl Biocleaner, Tectyl 150 or low-pressure steam. If dried and cured Tectyl 4D750 can be removed with Tectyl 150 or Tectyl Biocleaner.
Storage
Tectyl 4D750 should be stored at temperatures between 10-35 °C. Do not freeze Tectyl 4D750. Mild agitation is recommended prior to use. Due to its composition Tectyl 4D750 can be subject to postproduction viscosity changes during storage.
Under proper storage conditions Tectyl 4D750 is best before 9 months after production date.
