Tectyl 5660W FR is a high non-volatile, filled, waterborne, thixotropic, quick drying, fire resistance corrosion preventive compound.
Tectyl 5660W FR is developed as an abrasion resistant, sound damping underbody coating for buses, truck cabins, trains and trams where EN 45545 HL2 classification is required. It is also suitable for complete undercoating of containers, trailers, etc.
Tectyl 5660W FR cures to a dark-grey, colored, abrasion resistant, resilient and tough film.
Tectyl 5660W FR is highly effective in reducing vibrational resonance conditions in structures such as sheet metal panels, floor housings, stainless sinks, and a multitude of other applications.
Tectyl 5660W FR will dissipate structure-borne vibrational energy and reduces radiated air-borne noise. Tectyl 5660W FR is water based, non-toxic, non-flammable, and odorless and exhibits exceptional aging characteristics.
The coating can also be used on different substrates, like the metal chassis, but also other materials, such as wooden undersides of a camper, caravan or trailer.
The product has EN 45545 HL2 classification and good sound damping properties.

Surface Preparation
The maximum performance of Tectyl 5660W FR can be achieved only when the surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust and oil and a substrate temperature of 10-35 °C at the time of product application.
Depending on the quality of (non-galvanized) steel, aluminum or alloy- substrate to be applied, test or consult CorPro for the suitability of a direct to metal application, or if a primer protected surface may be preferred.
Application
Tectyl 5660W FR is formulated to be used as supplied. Ensure uniform consistency prior to use. Due to its composition Tectyl 5660W FR can be subject to postproduction viscosity changes.
For application Tectyl 5660W FR CorPro recommends airless spraying with a slow moving, stainless steel piston pump mounted in a pneumatic ram and fitted with a following plate, with a ratio of 45:1 till 63:1, a flow per double stroke of at least 150 ml. For the spraygun a minimum inlet pressure of 245 bar and reversible nozzle with an orifice of 0.025” minimum and 40° angle. Details on application can be found in the application chart.
Removal
Tectyl 5660W FR and spray equipment can in the wet phase be removed with water and diluted Tectyl Biocleaner. When dried and cured, Tectyl 5660W FR can not be removed.
Storage
Tectyl 5660W FR should be stored at temperatures between 10-35 °C. Do not freeze Tectyl 5660W FR. Mild agitation is recommended prior to use. Due to its composition Tectyl 5660W FR-W can be subject to postproduction viscosity changes during storage. Under proper storage conditions Tectyl 5660W FR is best before 12 months after production date.
