Tectyl 858-F is a homogeneous NLGI number 2 consistency grade multipurpose grease and corrosion preventive compound.
Tectyl 858-F can be used for lubrication and surface corrosion protection of industrial and automotive equipment operating over the temperature range of -30° to 120 °C.
Tectyl 858-F gives a greasy, amber and semi-transparent film.
Tectyl 858-F is a modern high performance synthetic grease, suitable for both industrial and automotive applications and in centralized lubrication systems.
The grease contains antioxidants, corrosion inhibitors and EP/AW additives and can be used in unfavorable working conditions, like damp atmosphere or dusty surroundings.
The special low viscous synthetic oil gives the product very low starting and running torques making it suitable for warm and low temperature applications.
The grease is also suitable for bearings operating at high speed.
Surface Preparation
The maximum performance of Tectyl 858-F can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. CorPro recommends that the metal substrate temperature is -18°C – +49 °C at the time of product application.
Application
Tectyl 858-F is formulated to be used as supplied. Do not thin Tectyl 858-F. Tectyl 858-Fcan be applied by hand, grease gun, or pump. Apply Tectyl 858-F between -18°C and +49°C. Details on application can be found in the application chart.
Tectyl 858-F may be used in applications where NLGI Number 2 consistency grease with oxidation resistance and corrosion preventive properties are required.
Tectyl 858-F is not intended for use on machinery that comes in contact with food.
Storage
Tectyl 858-F should be stored at temperatures between 10-35 °C and never exceed 60 °C. Avoid direct sunlight or freezing conditions. Due to its composition, Tectyl 858-F can be subject to postproduction viscosity changes during storage. Under proper storage conditions Tectyl 858-F is best before 24 months after production date.
